A session on providing first aid was conducted for students of the municipal educational institution “Dnipropetrovsk Regional Lyceum-Boarding School of Physics and Mathematics.”
The event was organized by the Department of Criminalistics and Pre-medical Training of the Institute of Law and Training of Specialists for the Units of the National Police, together with representatives from the Department of Pre-University Training, Career Guidance, and Employment Assistance of DSUIA.
Professor of the Department, Doctor of Law, Professor Igor Pyrig, explained to the students the rules of providing first aid and demonstrated visually the technique for stopping massive bleeding using a tourniquet, determining the effectiveness of breathing, the algorithm for conducting cardiopulmonary resuscitation, tamponade, and bandaging.
In addition, an introductory tour was conducted, during which the lyceum students learned about the faculties, institutes, and specialties, showing interest in the learning conditions and student life.
Organizers also presented educational programs offered by the university and showed the guests the university’s training grounds.
