Now this direction is part of state policy. This is another step towards making physical culture accessible to everyone — especially for people with disabilities, veterans, and those seeking new opportunities for an active life.

Adaptive sports is not only about physical activity. It is about promoting rehabilitation and human recovery, psychological support, belief in oneself, and a new quality of life. This is especially relevant today, when thousands of Ukrainians are undergoing the path of recovery after injuries and losses.
At Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, sports rehabilitation of veterans is one of the key directions of support for military personnel returning to civilian life. The university creates conditions for physical recovery, psychological stabilization, and social adaptation through regular sports activities and participation in team events.
Sports here is not only about movement, but about a dignified new life after the front.
