Binary Lesson at DSUIA: Cadets of Criminal Police Master Skills in Searching for Missing Persons

A binary lesson was conducted at DSUIA for 3rd-year cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine, during which the procedure for responding to reports of missing persons was discussed.

The event, organized by the Department of Operational-Search Activities, was attended by Police Lieutenant Maksym Lopatka, operative officer of Police Station No. 2 of the Dnipro District Police Department, and Police Lieutenant Danylo Gordiychenko, operative officer of criminal investigation of the Pavlohrad District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The Department of Operational-Search Activities of DSUIA was represented by Senior Lecturer, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Police Captain Vadym Kolomiets.

Cadets familiarized themselves with the algorithm for accepting reports of missing persons, planning and conducting primary operational-search measures and investigative actions. Practical workers explained in detail the procedure for preparing documents when accepting a report of a missing person. At the training ground “Tactical Town,” cadets practiced practical skills: inspection of a vehicle in which a citizen went missing and which was found by the police, interviewing witnesses, and inspecting the scene.

Such events contribute to the formation of professional competencies of future law enforcement officers, enhancing their readiness for effective performance of official duties in real conditions.
