The event dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the beginning of the deportation of Ukrainians was conducted by Valentyna Bonyak, Head of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional Law and Human Rights at DSUIA.
On September 9, a lecture-presentation was held at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA), dedicated to the Day of Remembrance for Ukrainians – victims of forced deportation from Lemkivshchyna, Nadsiannia, Kholmshchyna, Southern Podlachia, Liubachivshchyna, and Western Boykivshchyna in 1944–1951.
The lecture began with the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine. All those present also honored the memory of the fallen with a moment of silence.
The event was attended by cadets from the Educational and Scientific Institute of Training Specialists for Preventive Activity Units of the National Police of Ukraine and the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the National Police of Ukraine.

Attention was focused on the fact that on September 9, 1944, the Ukrainian SSR and Poland signed an agreement on “mutual population exchange,” which led to the forced deportation of approximately 700,000 Ukrainians. In 1944–1946, over 482,000 individuals were resettled to 17 regions of the Ukrainian SSR, while nearly 790,000 Poles and Jews were relocated from Ukraine.

The event proved to be interesting and beneficial for the cadets, contributing to the enhancement of legal awareness and legal culture within the framework of patriotic education of youth, as well as emphasizing the importance of preserving the memory of this tragedy.
