Prospective applicants were presented with the university’s educational opportunities, admission requirements and prospects of service in the National Police of Ukraine.

Lecturer of the Department of Criminalistics and Pre-Medical Training Vadym Chepurko, together with cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Units of the NPU Oleh Nahornyi and Vladyslava Makarenko, held an in-person career guidance meeting for graduates of Dnipro Lyceum No. 7.
During the meeting, senior students were introduced to the main areas of activity of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, admission requirements, opportunities of the modern educational facilities and prospects of further service in the National Police bodies. Particular attention was paid to the educational and professional programmes of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Units of the NPU.
The practical component of the event was supplemented by a screening of a film about the university, as well as a presentation of elements of criminalistic activity. In particular, students were shown the specifics of detecting fingerprints and conducting dactyloscopy.
The cadets, together with the Head of the 4th year of the faculty, Police Captain Oleh Chalyi, held an online career guidance event for senior students of Oleksandrivskyi Lyceum No. 2 (Kirovohrad Oblast). The meeting was organised within the framework of the project “Visit Your Home School”.
The speakers presented the university and informed the students about this year’s admission campaign, answered questions regarding the specifics of the educational process and living conditions of cadets, and also spoke about the opportunities for professional, sports and creative development of education seekers.

Head of the Department of Theory of State and Law of the Educational and Research Institute of Law and Innovative Education Olha Kulinich held a meeting with students of Zaporizhzhia Lyceum “Alternatyva” of Zaporizhzhia City Council. The students were introduced in detail to the admission requirements of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. Current information was provided regarding admission rules, and the list of subjects to be taken within the national multi-subject test for admission to the relevant specialities was explained.

Emphasis was placed on the educational programmes “Law” and “Law Enforcement Activity”. During the meeting, the specifics of the organisation of the educational process were outlined, in particular the combination of theoretical training with practice-oriented learning.

Conducting such events in various formats makes it possible to effectively engage prospective applicants, broadens their understanding of the police profession and contributes to an informed choice of further educational and professional path.
