The presentation was held jointly with the Regional Service Centre of the Main Service Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts for the State Commercial Enterprise “Dnipropetrovsk Experimental Prosthetic and Orthopedic Enterprise”.

Within the framework of the event, the Director of the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance Learning of DSUIA, Police Lieutenant Colonel Anatolii Kolotik delivered a comprehensive presentation of the university’s educational potential, emphasising the conditions for obtaining higher education, opportunities for professional reorientation and prospects for further employment within the structure of the educational institution.

A separate content block was the presentation of the activities of the Barrier-Free Driving School of DSUIA as an instrument of practical implementation of the state policy on barrier-free accessibility. The Head of the Automotive Training Department of DSUIA, military veteran Yevhenii Khokhlov outlined the specifics of training drivers with disabilities, in particular the list of available categories, the technical characteristics of specially adapted vehicles, as well as the algorithm for completing the training taking into account the individual needs of the students.

The participants of the event also received professional explanations regarding the procedure for obtaining administrative services at the MIA service centres, including the procedures for retrofitting vehicles for persons with disabilities. The specialists emphasised that this contributes to raising the legal awareness and practical readiness of veterans to use the relevant state services.

The practical part of the event involved direct interaction with the instructor staff: those present had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the design features of the adapted vehicle used in the educational process, as well as to acquire basic vehicle driving skills in safe conditions.
