The defense of competitive works will take place at the final scientific and practical conference on May 11-12, 2026, on the basis of the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine (Cherkasy city).
Nine representatives of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs became finalists of the competition of scientific works of higher education applicants of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education institutions that belong to the sphere of management of the MIA of Ukraine.
With the assistance of the Department of Organization of Scientific Activity, a meeting of the finalists of the competition and their scientific supervisors was held, the purpose of which was to ensure high-quality preparation for the defense of competitive works by higher education applicants of DSUIA.
The Head of the Department of Organization of Scientific Activity of DSUIA Denys Proshin noted that the defense of works is an important stage of the competition, since the members of the organizing committee evaluate not only how the research was conducted and the work was written, but also how the applicant presents it, his level of mastery of the material and the ability to provide confident answers to the questions asked, which determines the high score and confirms the title of winner.
Senior Research Fellow Olena Shkurko informed those present about the distribution of places for which the works of the university applicants are competing, noting that the winners will be finally determined based on the results of the defense of competitive works at the final conference.
The scientific supervisors of the finalists of the MIA competition and representatives of the departments had the opportunity to listen to the reports prepared by the applicants and view presentations for them, express their opinion on their quality, and also provide advice and recommendations for improving the presentations and their visualization.
The meeting held will allow the applicants to optimize their reports and presentations and worthily represent the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs at the final scientific and practical conference.
