The event combined theoretical training, practical skills development, and real combat experience.

The class was conducted by the Head of the Firearms Training Department, Police Colonel Andrii Zhbanchyk, as well as senior lecturers of the department Volodymyr Tymofieiev and Anatolii Natochii.
They introduced the cadets to the topic of the lesson and emphasized the importance of comprehensive law enforcement training under martial law conditions. Particular attention was paid not only to proficient weapon handling, but also to psychological resilience, the ability to quickly assess situations, and act under increased psychological pressure.
During the practical part, the instructors demonstrated weapon handling algorithms, shooting exercises, changing firing positions, and actions in case of emergency situations. Special emphasis was placed on compliance with safety measures, coordination of actions, and the development of rapid response skills.
Under the guidance of the instructors, the cadets practiced elements of tactical training and improved their aiming, reloading, and teamwork skills.
Of particular interest to the students was the speech of veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war and current university employee Oleksandr Movchan. He shared his own combat experience, particularly regarding the specifics of using firearms, and emphasized the importance of personal safety and the need for quick decision-making while carrying out tasks.
The cadets were able to ask questions about tactics in extreme situations, hear examples from combat zones, and receive practical advice based on the serviceman’s personal experience.
DSUIA emphasizes that conducting such classes contributes to improving the level of professional training of future law enforcement officers and helps develop the skills necessary for the effective performance of official duties under modern security challenges.
