The event was aimed at supporting the socialization of veterans, their adaptation to civilian life, and establishing an open dialogue between defenders, cadets, and employees of the educational institution.

The Department of Firearms Training of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs continued conducting practical classes using pneumatic weapons within the framework of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine initiative “Friendly Support.” Another training session was conducted by the Head of the Department of Firearms Training, Police Colonel Andrii Zhbanchyk, and Senior Lecturer Olena Lopaieva with the participation of the university’s practical shooting team.
The practical part of the event included practicing safe weapon handling skills, improving shooting accuracy, and strengthening teamwork. Participants completed exercises focused on reaction speed, coordination of actions, and shooting precision under various conditions.

During the training, veterans shared their combat experience and provided practical recommendations regarding discipline, self-control, and endurance under wartime conditions. Direct communication with combat veterans helped cadets better understand the modern realities of service, realize the responsibility of the law enforcement profession, and learn from those who participated in the defense of Ukraine.
The university will continue supporting initiatives aimed at the socialization of veterans, strengthening mutual understanding between generations, and transferring practical experience to future law enforcement officers. According to the organizers, such events contribute to the formation of a conscious society that values the contribution of Ukrainian defenders and preserves the memory of their heroism.
