The event brought together participants of a youth project, representatives of regional authorities, and the university leadership.

The Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs hosted a solemn ceremony for awarding certificates to the winners of the STARt LEAD youth project – a young leader school implemented at the initiative and with the support of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State (Military) Administration.

The event was attended by the Deputy Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Iryna Hrytsai, assistants to the DSUIA Rector Volodymyr Kovbasa and Larysa Nalyvaiko, as well as project participants and organizers.

The STARt LEAD project was aimed at forming a new generation of young managers and civic leaders, developing leadership competencies, teamwork skills, communication abilities, project management, and youth policy expertise. Over six months, participants completed training, took part in workshops, and attended meetings with representatives of government bodies, the civil sector, the academic community, and international organizations.

The STARt LEAD initiative is implemented in cooperation with international partners and organizations. This enables the introduction of modern European approaches to youth leadership development and the integration of best international practices.
Eight best graduates of the Young Leader School will take part in the international event “Weimar Triangle Youth Summit”, which will be held in the Hauts-de-France region (France) in July 2026.
Within the project, a series of online training sessions, internships, workshops, and meetings were organized with opinion leaders, representatives of state institutions, public figures, managers, and experts from various fields.
During the ceremony, participants were awarded certificates of successful completion of the program. It is important to note that among the winners was a 4th-year student of the Educational and Research Institute of Law and Innovative Education of DSUIA, Nazar Byba.
Special attention was given to the youth’s activity, their involvement in social processes, and their aspiration to contribute to the development of the region and the state.
For the guests of the event, a tour of the material and technical facilities of DSUIA was also organized. Participants visited training grounds, specialized classrooms, and modern university facilities used for training future security and defense sector specialists.
