Medals, diplomas and awards were presented during the meeting of the rectorate of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
The Acting Rector of DSUIA Ihor Magdaliyna noted the cadets who took prize places at the Ministry of Internal Affairs championship in hand-to-hand combat. The sports event took place from May 13 to 15, 2026 in the city of Khmelnytskyi.
Cadet Akim Sharakov won 2nd place in the weight category up to 60 kg.
Cadet Vladyslav Rudyk won 2nd place in the weight category up to 90 kg.
Cadet Denys Lushpaiev took 3rd place in the same weight category.
Female cadet Yuliia Tolmachova won 3rd place in the weight category up to 75 kg.
In addition, the Chairman of the Student-Cadet Council Maksym Khadzhiyiskyi was awarded the next special rank – Police Sergeant.
Ihor Magdaliyna wished the athletes new victories, as well as success in studies and service.
