Regular petanque training for military veterans continues at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. The classes are organized by the Department of Special Physical Training with the support of the university leadership.

#DSUIA. Adaptive sports for veterans. Strength of spirit. Strength of body. Strength of Will. We invite veterans!
The Assistant to the Head of the Main Police Department in Dnipropetrovsk Region for Veterans’ Issues Ivan Zmiievskyi joined the event.
Petanque has become an effective means of physical and psychological rehabilitation of defenders. This sport develops accuracy, coordination of movements, concentration of attention, and also contributes to social adaptation and emotional recovery.

During the trainings, veterans improve throwing technique, master tactical elements of the game and actively communicate in a circle of like-minded people. Many participants of the DSUIA team have already demonstrated high results, repeatedly taking prize places in All-Ukrainian and interregional competitions.
Such systematic work helps veterans maintain physical fitness, make new friends, overcome psychological difficulties and fully integrate into active social life.
DSUIA will continue to create conditions for the development of adaptive sports and support for the defenders of Ukraine.
