A Seminar-Training on the Organization of Firearms Training Instruction Has Started at DSUIA

The event was organized for academic and teaching staff responsible for teaching the academic discipline “Firearms Training” at higher education institutions with specific learning conditions, state vocational education institutions with specific learning conditions.

Vice-Rector of DSUIA, Police Colonel Ihor Kovalov, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. He emphasized the importance of systematically improving the professional training level of instructors, especially in the field of practical training, where safety, precision, and methodological consistency are of crucial importance.

The purpose of the seminar-training is to exchange experience among specialists, improve the knowledge, abilities, and skills of academic staff in the methodology of teaching firearms training, and enhance teaching excellence in organizing and conducting training shooting exercises.

During the event, participants will study methods for developing general weapon-handling skills and performing sniper rifle shooting exercises, organizing and conducting training shooting sessions with 12-gauge shotguns (anti-drone safety), as well as methods for teaching pistol shooting using metal poppers and the Bianchi setup.

Such events contribute to improving the quality of firearms training instruction, ensuring a high level of safety during practical classes, and developing the professional competencies necessary for future law enforcement officers to effectively perform their duties.
