The wheelchair adaptive basketball competition will take place on May 29–31 in the city of Lviv with the support of the Sports Office of the Lviv City Council.
“Veterans Basket Dnipro,” the first adaptive basketball team in the Ministry of Internal Affairs system, created on the basis of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, under the leadership of coach Kseniia Afanasieva, will compete against basketball players from Kyiv, Rivne, and Odesa.
The Dnipro team will be represented by athletes Viacheslav Kaistro, Artem Formalov, Serhii Shtym, Oleh Sakhnov, Serhii Kyrychenko, Rustam Makhmudov, Yevhen Luchko, Andrii Solomin, and Yevhen Ratkov.
The participation of veterans in competitions of various levels and their sporting achievements are the result of systematic training sessions regularly held at the university. Continuous preparation, teamwork, and support for the sports rehabilitation direction enable veterans to improve their skills, test their level of training, and confidently represent the team at national tournaments.
