A binary session dedicated to the specifics of the Educational Security Service of the National Police of Ukraine was held at the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
Cadets of the 2nd year of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the NPU met with the Head of the Sector for Organizing the Educational Security Service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Police Lieutenant Colonel Olena Tkachova.
The session was organized by the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure and conducted within the framework of the discipline “Administrative Process”. It aimed to consolidate theoretical knowledge and develop practical skills in law enforcement activities.
The head of the sector explained the Educational Security Service (ESS), whose activities during martial law in Ukraine are a key element of ensuring a safe educational environment, as educational institutions remain not only centers of learning but also places of psychological support and social stability for children and youth.
Together with the cadets, practical skills (action algorithms) were worked out for responding to emergency situations. Various scenarios were modeled, including actions in case of illegal entry of a suspicious person onto the territory of an educational institution.
Special attention was paid to the procedure of alerting people in the institution, interaction between school staff and the police, as well as the safety of students and teaching staff.
Coordinated communication and clarity of actions make it possible to make decisions quickly in critical conditions.
The session aroused professional interest among cadets; the participants gained practical skills and a clearer understanding of police work in educational institutions.
