The meeting was held by the general library of DSUIA within the framework of the National Week of Barrier-Free.
The speaker of the event was the scientific secretary of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library named after the First Teachers of the Slavs Cyril and Methodius Yuliia Ziuleva.
Participation in the lecture was taken by cadets and students of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, as well as pupils of the Dnipro Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education named after O. Hostishchev of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Together with the participants, the main trends in creating a barrier-free environment and the processes of forming an inclusive space were discussed, the basic principles of tolerant communication and the construction of correct communication were determined.
The listeners familiarized themselves with the virtual book exhibition “Barrier-Free”, prepared by the deputy head of the general library of DSUIA Olena Shkutova, after which they passed a final test.
Such events contribute to the formation of a culture of tolerance and prepare young people for correct interaction with persons with disabilities.
