DSUIA Cadets Improved Skills in Evacuation of Injured Persons

NEWS

Future law enforcement officers practiced algorithms for the safe transportation of injured individuals and took part in a practical quiz with elements of criminalistics training.

The practical class for cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Units of the National Police of Ukraine was conducted by Professor of the Department of Criminalistics and Pre-Medical Training, Police Lieutenant Colonel Viktor Pletenets.

During the practical session, the cadets practiced the correct technique of transferring an injured person onto rigid stretchers, methods of secure fixation, and procedures for evacuating a traumatized individual. Special attention was paid to compliance with safety requirements and consideration of the nature of possible injuries during transportation.

The practical format allowed cadets to consolidate their knowledge of pre-medical training and improve skills necessary for rapid response in emergency situations and during official duties.

An additional element of the class was a quiz dedicated to identifying and locating a person based on a verbal portrait. Participants completed thematic tasks aimed at developing observation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze external features of a person, which are important components of the work of pre-trial investigation officers.

The class was conducted under the constant supervision of the instructor, who provided necessary recommendations and monitored the correctness of practical exercises.

Such training formats contribute to improving the professional preparation of future law enforcement officers, help build confidence in their actions, and ensure readiness to respond effectively in situations requiring quick decision-making and coordinated teamwork.
