The event was organized by the Educational and Research Institute of Law and Innovative Education of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
The conference was dedicated to current issues of ensuring the rule of law in the context of contemporary global challenges, wartime threats, and the development of a democratic state governed by the rule of law.

The event was opened by Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Law and Innovative Education Volodymyr Shablystyi, who, on behalf of the DSUIA administration, welcomed the participants and noted that holding such a scientific event is highly important, as the principle of the rule of law is the fundamental basis of state functioning, a guarantee of the protection of human rights and freedoms, and an essential element in ensuring legality and justice. He wished the participants productive work.
The participants were also welcomed by Bohdan Chehil, Head of the Main Department of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk Region; Oleksandr Yarmysh, Head of the Educational and Research Laboratory for the Study of Problems of Ensuring the Rights of Persons Affected by War at DSUIA, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine; Oleksandr Zarubytskyi, Acting President of the Ukrainian Section of the International Police Association, Honored Journalist of Ukraine; Mykola Karchevskyi, Professor of the Academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences Father Ivan Lutskyi Department of Law at King Danylo University, Chief Research Fellow of the Research Laboratory on Artificial Intelligence and Law at the Institute of Information, Security and Law of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, founder of CrimeDataLab, Doctor of Law, Professor; and Koba Chikhladze (Georgia), Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law at Georgian Technical University, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor.


During the conference, participants discussed issues related to combating crime in Ukraine during wartime, the rule of law in the activities of the High Anti-Corruption Court, ensuring accessibility and inclusion for war veterans under martial law as an aspect of the rule of law, and other relevant topics.
The conference brought together scholars, representatives of the judiciary, law enforcement agencies, international experts, human rights advocates, public figures, and higher education students interested in researching contemporary theoretical and practical issues of the rule of law. Today, legal science plays an important role in shaping modern approaches to addressing pressing issues of state-building and improving Ukraine’s legal system in accordance with European and international standards.
The organizers believe that international scientific and practical conferences serve as an important platform for professional dialogue, the exchange of scientific ideas, and the development of practical recommendations aimed at strengthening the principle of the rule of law in the face of contemporary global challenges.
