Future police officers watched the educational series of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine “Barrier-Free Literacy”.
The series was created within the framework of the initiative of the First Lady Olena Zelenska “Without Barriers” in cooperation with the Advisor to the President of Ukraine on Barrier-Free Issues, the NGO “Barrier-Free”, representatives of civil society and experts with the support of the UNDP project “Human Rights for Ukraine”, which is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
The event was conducted under the guidance of the Acting Head of the Cycle of General Professional Training, Police Major Alim Bryzhak.
The listeners learned that barrier-free today is a requirement of national legislation and a guideline of state policy in our country. They received answers to a number of questions, in particular what barrier-free is, what are the components of the new worldview of barrier-free, what barriers people with disabilities face, etc.
All participants of the viewing of the educational series received the relevant certificates.
The acquired knowledge will help future law enforcement officers overcome prejudices in working with people and will contribute to the affirmation of barrier-free in society.
