Representatives of DSUIA Win Prize Places at the Dnipropetrovsk Judo Championship

Around 150 athletes took part in the regional judo championship among men and women, held at the Olimpiyski Rezervy sports complex in Dnipro. Prize winners included cadets of the university and students of the Oleksandr Hostishchev Dnipro Lyceum.

Throughout the championship, participants demonstrated technical skill, tactical thinking, and the ability to perform effectively in high-pressure matches. The level of competition on the tatami was high, as top athletes from various parts of the region competed for awards.

An excellent result was shown by cadet Yuliia Tolmachova of the Faculty for Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine, who became the champion in the under 78 kg weight category. Through confident performance, effective techniques, and well-planned tactics, she secured victory and took the highest step of the podium.

Another award was won by student of the Oleksandr Hostishchev Dnipro Lyceum of Security and National-Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Alona Burdina. In the under 48 kg weight category, she placed second and received the silver medal of the championship.

The team also included lyceum teacher Mykola Shevchenko, who competed in the under 100 kg weight category. His participation in the championship was an opportunity to demonstrate sporting skill and support a high level of representation of the educational institution at the regional level.

The performances of DSUIA representatives are the result of systematic training, persistent work, and a responsible attitude toward sports preparation. Such competitions contribute to the improvement of physical qualities, the strengthening of sporting character, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among young people.
