An elective class for future investigators was conducted by Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure Andrii Zakharko and Professor of the Department of Criminalistics and Pre-Medical Training Viktor Pletenets.

During the session, cadets became acquainted with the practical capabilities of using the National Police Information Portal (NPIP) in the activities of pre-trial investigation bodies. The instructors emphasized the role of the NPIP as a key information and communication system that ensures the uninterrupted operation of the National Police and provides information and analytical support to its units.
The cadets were introduced to the system’s functional capabilities, structure, and main areas of application in the performance of official duties. Particular attention was paid to the use of the “Sled” subsystem, an important tool for accumulating, systematizing, and analyzing information required during pre-trial investigations.
The practical part of the elective involved direct work with the subsystem. Each participant had the opportunity to review existing registration cards stored in the database, analyze the procedures for their creation, and examine their content. In addition, the cadets practiced independently creating such cards, which enabled them to reinforce the knowledge acquired and develop practical skills in working with police information resources.
The elective course became an important component of the practice-oriented training of cadets, aimed at developing key competencies and ensuring the effective application of modern digital technologies in their future professional activities.
