A summer field training camp for security-oriented and national-patriotic education lyceums of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is currently being held at the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine in Cherkasy. The event has brought together participants from different regions of the country and serves as an important platform for acquiring practical knowledge and competencies in the fields of security and civil protection.
The Oleksandr Hostishchev Dnipro Lyceum of Security and National-Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is represented by 53 male and 24 female students. Students of the Yaroslav Kondratiev Kyiv Lyceum of Security and National-Patriotic Education have also joined the camp session.
The camp began with a ceremonial formation during which the National Flag of Ukraine was raised and the National Anthem of Ukraine was performed. Participants also observed a minute of silence in memory of the defenders who gave their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of the state.

One of the key areas of the program is practice-oriented training and familiarization with the activities of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. To this end, a number of educational and practical training stations were organized to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary for effective action in emergency situations.

During tactical medicine classes, the students learned basic pre-medical aid algorithms and the fundamental principles of responding to emergency conditions. As part of rescue training, they became familiar with specialized equipment, practiced tying rescue knots, and gained practical knowledge of organizing and conducting rescue operations.

A separate training module was devoted to fire safety. Participants were introduced to modern firefighting equipment and practiced using primary firefighting tools, including fire extinguishers. In addition, the camp program includes team competitions that promote teamwork, leadership development, and responsibility for collective results.

Mine safety training also occupies an important place in the educational program. Representatives of the State Emergency Service demonstrated examples of explosive hazards, familiarized participants with the identifying characteristics of potential threats, and explained safe behavior procedures in the event such objects are discovered.

The summer field training camp is an important component of the educational process in security-oriented and national-patriotic education lyceums. Its primary goal is to foster civic awareness and patriotic values, develop leadership qualities and communication competencies, and provide practical experience in the fields of security, civil protection, and emergency response.
