Participants of the Police Academy Training Center took part in a practical training session dedicated to supporting mental health and developing psychological resilience skills.

The event was organized by specialists of the university’s Psychological Support Unit. During the training, participants became familiar with approaches to building resilience, practiced mindfulness techniques, and explored tools for maintaining their psycho-emotional well-being. Particular attention was paid to the principle of “being here and now” and to the importance of regular daily practices that help accumulate internal resources and strengthen psychological resilience.

According to the event moderator, Vladyslav Bidniak, caring for one’s mental health is an essential component of a law enforcement officer’s professional training. A distinctive feature of the training was the combination of classical and modern techniques of psychological self-regulation and stabilization, which are universal in nature and can be applied in various life and professional situations.
The participants actively engaged in the training, demonstrating interest and a willingness to learn new psychological support tools. Following the session, they emphasized the practical value of the knowledge gained and reconsidered the role of mental health in police work. Participants also reported improvements in their emotional state while performing the exercises.
The event became another important step in preparing future law enforcement officers for professional challenges. The development of self-regulation skills, stress resilience, and a responsible attitude toward mental health is a vital component of effective service and the ability to support citizens in the face of today’s complex challenges.
