DSUIA Hosts a Meeting with a Fighter of the “Striletskyi” Unit

Participants of the DSUIA Police Academy Training Center joined an online meeting with a participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war and a member of a combat police unit. The event was held as part of the university’s educational and patriotic initiatives.

The guest speaker was Volodymyr Tochylin, Police Major and Senior Inspector of Company No. 1 of the “Striletskyi” Police Battalion of Special Purpose Operations of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Zaporizhzhia Region.

At the beginning of the meeting, the law enforcement officer emphasized the importance of protecting Ukraine’s state sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of armed aggression. He shared examples of the courage displayed by Ukrainian defenders and fellow service members who gave their lives for the country’s independence and highlighted the significance of patriotism for future police officers.

During the session, Volodymyr Tochylin introduced the participants to the structure and main tasks of the “Striletskyi” unit, the specifics of service, personnel requirements, and the unit’s activities under martial law. Particular attention was paid to the participation of police officers in combat operations and the role of professional training in shaping a competent law enforcement officer.

The speaker also focused on the knowledge, abilities, and skills that future police officers acquire while studying at the Police Academy and that are essential for their future service. In conclusion, Volodymyr Tochylin wished the participants success in their studies, discipline, professional growth, and resilience in serving the Ukrainian people.

Such events contribute to strengthening patriotic education, fostering professional motivation, and familiarizing future law enforcement officers with the practical experience of serving under wartime conditions.
