At DSUIA a seminar-training for teachers of higher education institutions with specific learning conditions has been launched

The events are organized by the department of special physical training of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs on the initiative of the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Participation in the seminar-training on the topic: “Peculiarities of teaching educational components (educational disciplines) “Special Physical Training”, “Special Physical Training of Police Officers” (“Physical Training”, “Tactics of Self-Defense and Personal Security”) in higher education institutions with specific learning conditions will be taken by scientific-pedagogical (pedagogical) workers of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard of Ukraine.

The event began with the performance of the State Anthem of Ukraine and honoring the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence.

The vice-rector of DSUIA, police colonel Ihor Kovalov addressed the participants. He emphasized that special physical training is an integral component of the professional development of future law enforcement officers, as it combines the development of physical qualities with the formation of practical skills necessary during the performance of official tasks. Such training contributes to increasing the level of readiness of cadets to act in conditions of increased risk, developing endurance, discipline and self-confidence.

The participants will consider topics related to compliance with safety techniques during the teaching of specialized educational disciplines, sports injuries, pre-medical care, the model of use of force, classification of techniques during the forceful detention of an offender, organization and methodology of conducting training sessions, etc.

At the final stage of the training, the participants will undergo a final test and take part in conducting a trial lesson.
