Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs will be represented by military veterans, participants of the first in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs team in adaptive basketball “Veterans Basket Dnipro”.
The events will take place in the city of Odesa from 19 to 22 June 2026. Participation in the competitions from DSUIA will be taken by the inspector of the sports team of the department of social and humanitarian work Viacheslav Kaistro, instructor of the department of special physical training Artem Formalov, assistant of the duty officer of the duty unit of the department of organization of service Serhii Shtym under the leadership of the leading specialist of the sports team of the department of social and humanitarian work, basketball coach Kseniia Afanasieva.
The participation of representatives of DSUIA in the competitions is a component of the systematic work of the university on the development of veteran sports and support of adaptive directions of physical rehabilitation.
The All-Ukrainian veteran competitions “On the wave 2.0” will unite veterans from different regions of Ukraine and will become a platform for the popularization of adaptive sports, physical rehabilitation and social integration of defenders and defenders. The participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate sports skills, team interaction and strength of spirit.
The program of the event includes competitions in adaptive sports, in particular basketball in wheelchairs, rowing on simulators, archery and bocce.
