NEWS, Sport for military veterans

Representatives of the university secured three prize-winning places.

The Open Table Tennis Tournament, organized by Superhumans Center, brought participants together around the values of mutual support, healthy competition, and active recovery through sport.

Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs was represented by veterans who work and train at the university: Vasyl Koval, Viktor Tykholaz, Oleksandr Petrenko, Andrii Shevchenko, Yevhen Boiko, and Eduard Kyrylov.

During the matches, the participants demonstrated a high level of preparation and sporting excellence. According to the tournament results, DSUIA veterans achieved the most successful performance among the prize-winners: Vasyl Koval won the gold medal, Viktor Tykholaz became the silver medalist, and Oleksandr Petrenko claimed the bronze medal.

Preparation for participation in sporting events is carried out, among other activities, through table tennis training sessions held at DSUIA. Such training helps maintain physical activity, develop coordination, improve concentration, and enhance reaction speed. At the same time, sport remains an important tool for social adaptation, communication, and recovery for veterans.

The university continues to support initiatives aimed at developing veterans’ sports and creating opportunities for defenders to actively participate in public life. Another successful performance by DSUIA representatives in competition confirms the effectiveness of these efforts and the importance of systematic support for the veteran community.

Congratulations to the prize-winners!
