The event was organized by the Department of Firearms Training of DSUIA for academic and teaching staff responsible for delivering the educational component (academic discipline) “Firearms Training” at higher education institutions with specific learning conditions that provide training for police officers.

The participants were welcomed by DSUIA Vice-Rector, Police Colonel Ihor Kovalov. He emphasized the importance of the systematic enhancement of instructors’ professional qualifications, particularly in the field of practical training, where safety, accuracy, and methodological consistency are of critical importance.

The purpose of the seminar-training is to facilitate the exchange of experience among specialists, improve the knowledge, skills, and competencies of academic and teaching staff in firearms training methodology, and enhance their pedagogical expertise in organizing and conducting training shooting exercises.

During the event, participants will study methods for developing general firearms handling skills and performing sniper rifle shooting exercises, the organization and methodology of conducting training sessions with 12-gauge shotguns (counter-drone security), as well as teaching methods for pistol shooting using steel poppers and the Bianchi shooting setup.

Such events contribute to improving the quality of firearms training instruction, ensuring a high level of safety during practical exercises, and developing the professional competencies necessary for future law enforcement officers to effectively perform their official duties.
