On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Ukraine, a patriotic event was held at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs aimed at fostering respect for the Basic Law of the state and promoting an active civic position among young people.

The event was organized by the DSUIA Student and Cadet Council with the support of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work.

The event was attended by Acting Rector of DSUIA Ihor Mahdalina and Vice-Rector, Police Colonel Ihor Kovalov.

A symbolic installation in the form of a map of Ukraine was placed in the university lobby, serving as an interactive platform for expressing personal views on the significance of the Constitution. Cadets, students, academic staff, and university employees had the opportunity to complete the phrases “The Constitution for me is…” and “How I see Ukraine in 10 years…”, write their thoughts on stickers, and place them on the map of Ukraine.

Participants shared their reflections on the role of the Constitution as a guarantee of human rights and freedoms, the foundation of the democratic development of the state, and the affirmation of the principles of legality, justice, and the rule of law. The event united the university community around common values that form the foundation of Ukrainian statehood and provided another opportunity to recognize the importance of adhering to constitutional principles in everyday life and in the future professional activities of law enforcement officers.

Such events contribute to the development of legal culture and national awareness among young people, foster respect for constitutional values, promote an active civic position, and strengthen personal responsibility for building a democratic, law-governed, and independent Ukraine.
