Briefing Before Internship for DSUIA Cadets

A briefing was held at Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs for cadets of the Faculty for Training Specialists for the Pre-Trial Investigation Units of the National Police of Ukraine.

The briefing was attended by First Deputy Head of the Main Directorate – Head of the Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Police Colonel Inna Vlasova; DSUIA Vice-Rector, Police Colonel Ihor Kovalov; Dean of the Faculty for Training Specialists for the Pre-Trial Investigation Units of the NPU, Police Colonel Vladyslav Lazariev; Head of the Department of Criminal Procedure, Police Lieutenant Colonel Dmytro Sanakoiev; Deputy Deans Police Lieutenant Colonel Ihor Shevchenko and Police Major Elvira Sydorova; and DSUIA Anti-Corruption Officer Ruslan Lupyr.

The cadets received detailed explanations regarding the specifics of completing their internship in regional police units. Particular emphasis was placed on compliance with the law, service discipline, and safety while performing official duties.

The participants were instructed on maintaining their internship diary, the knowledge assessment procedure, reporting requirements, and cooperation with on-site mentors.

Anti-Corruption Officer Ruslan Lupyr emphasized strict compliance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Prevention of Corruption’, fostering a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption among cadets, highlighted the role of whistleblowers, and noted that timely reporting of possible disciplinary violations by cadets serves as a preventive measure against potential violations of the law, including corruption-related offenses and crimes provided for by the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

In addition, emphasis was placed on compliance with service discipline, the Rules of Ethical Conduct for Police Officers, personal safety measures during the internship, and the unconditional execution of the orders of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
