A Military Veteran from DSUIA Participated in the All-Ukrainian “Strong Ukraine” Competition

Oleksandr Hryshchuk, a member of the Sports Team of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work and a military veteran, represented DSUIA at the All-Ukrainian adaptive sports competition held in the city of Irpin, Kyiv region.

The competition brought together around 250 war veterans and servicemen from different regions of Ukraine. The main objective of the event was to promote adaptive sports, support the physical and psychological recovery of veterans, and create opportunities for their social reintegration.

The DSUIA representative delivered a strong performance in the bench press for maximum repetitions, Concept2 rowing, and kettlebell snatch events, demonstrating endurance, strength, and confident technical execution. His successful results across several disciplines highlighted his well-rounded physical preparation and active involvement in the development of the veteran community.

The event was organized by the Strongman Federation of Ukraine in cooperation with the Agency of Mass Sports and the Irpin City Council. In addition to the competitive program, participants discussed the development of adaptive sports, communicated with fellow veterans, exchanged experiences, and supported one another, which is an important aspect of strengthening the veteran community.

The participation of DSUIA representatives in such competitions contributes to the implementation of modern physical rehabilitation practices and creates new opportunities for the active engagement, recovery, and self-realization of Ukraine’s defenders.
