The event was organized by the Department of Firearms Training of DSUIA for academic and teaching staff of higher education institutions with specific learning conditions that provide training for police officers.
Throughout the training, participants enhanced their professional knowledge, skills, and competencies in the methodology of teaching the academic discipline “Firearms Training,” exchanged practical experience, and explored modern approaches to organizing the educational process. Particular attention was paid to improving teaching proficiency in conducting training shooting exercises, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, and applying effective methods for developing practical skills among future law enforcement officers.
In particular, participants studied methods for developing fundamental skills in the safe handling of firearms and performing sniper rifle shooting exercises, the organization and conduct of training sessions with 12-gauge shotguns in the context of counter-drone security, as well as modern techniques for teaching pistol shooting using steel poppers and the Bianchi shooting setup.
Upon completion of the training, the participants were congratulated by DSUIA Vice-Rector, Police Colonel Ihor Kovalov. He emphasized that high-quality instructor training is the foundation of the professional preparation of future police officers, as the development of practical skills, discipline, responsibility, and safe firearms handling among students largely depends on the competence and expertise of their instructors.

Ihor Kovalov presented the participants with certificates of successful completion of the seminar-training and thanked them for their commitment to professional development, the exchange of experience, and the continuous improvement of the training system for future officers of the National Police of Ukraine.
