Sports rehabilitation: another petanque training session at DSUIA

NEWS, Sport for military veterans

In the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, regular petanque training sessions for military veterans continue. The classes are organized by the Department of Special Physical Training with the support of the university management.

Petanque has become a popular type of adaptive sports among defenders. This game does not require excessive physical exertion, but at the same time develops accuracy, coordination of movements, concentration of attention and strategic thinking. In addition, petanque promotes socialization, helps to overcome psychological barriers and restore emotional balance.

For military veterans, such training is especially important. They allow them to gradually regain physical form, strengthen muscles, improve motor skills and reduce the manifestations of stress. Communication in the circle of like-minded people gives a sense of support, belonging to the community and helps to adapt to peaceful life.

The organizers note that petanque is not only a sport, but also an effective rehabilitation tool that combines physical activity with psychological recovery and training of cognitive functions.

DSUIA will continue to support the development of adaptive sports, creating conditions for the physical and psychological recovery of military veterans.
