The event was organized by the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade “Kholodnyi Yar” and dedicated to the memory of the chief sergeant of the 2nd Mechanized Battalion Serhii “Docker” Hlukhyi.
14 teams took part in the tournament, among which were representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine.
The Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs was represented by cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the NPU: Vadym Matskevych, Nikita Solokha, Nikita Nikitenko, Anna Haley, Nazar Domashenko and Karyna Tserpish.
The cadets performed exercises with shooting from a pistol and an assault rifle UAR-15 at stationary targets under time limit conditions.
According to the results of the tournament, representatives of DSUIA took the following places:
Vadym Matskevych won first place in pistol fire among men, Anna Haley took first place in the “ladies” category in assault rifle shooting, Nazar Domashenko won a bronze medal in assault rifle shooting among men. Also, third place among men in pistol shooting was taken by Nikita Solokha, and Karyna Tserpish took third place in assault rifle shooting in the “ladies” category.
In addition, for the first places, DSUIA cadets received certificates for 25 thousand hryvnias, which can be used for repairing automotive equipment. The certificates were immediately transferred to the military of the 93rd OMB “Kholodnyi Yar”.
The achievements of DSUIA shooters indicate that the university cadets demonstrate a high level of fire training that meets modern requirements of practical shooting and combat readiness, and also confirm the effectiveness of the system of special physical and tactical training at DSUIA.
