Strength of spirit in the game: another table tennis training session for military veterans took place at DSUIA

NEWS, Sport for military veterans

In the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, weekly table tennis training sessions for military veterans continue. The classes are organized by the Department of Special Physical Training with the support of the university management.

During the training sessions, veterans improve their game technique, practice the accuracy of strikes, reaction speed and coordination of movements. The atmosphere of the events combines sporting excitement, mutual support and sincere communication.

Table tennis is one of the most effective types of adaptive sports for military veterans. It develops fine motor skills, concentration of attention, endurance and reaction speed, while not creating excessive load on the body. Regular classes help restore physical form, improve coordination and muscle tone. In addition, the game has a positive effect on the psycho-emotional state: it reduces stress levels, helps overcome the manifestations of post-traumatic stress disorder, restores self-confidence and promotes socialization.

“For many veterans, table tennis has become not just physical activity, but a real rehabilitation tool that returns the joy of movement and the feeling of victory over oneself,” the organizers note.

DSUIA will continue to create conditions for the development of adaptive sports, helping military veterans strengthen their health, find new inspiration and actively return to a full life.
