The event was conducted for patrol police officers from Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions, who are undergoing professional development in the department of organization of professional development and specialization of the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance Learning of DSUIA.
A model court session was conducted within the framework of the academic discipline “Algorithm of actions of patrol police officers in various situations of official activity (scenarios)” with the participation of the deputy head of the Novokodatskyi District Court of the city of Dnipro, Maksym Taus.
The event was organized on the training ground “Courtroom” by the Department of Administrative Law and Process and the Department of Tactical and Special Training of DSUIA.
During the class, the participants simulated a real court hearing of cases of domestic violence according to a previously defined set of facts, during which the roles of the victims, perpetrators and witnesses were practiced. The police officers demonstrated knowledge of administrative tort legislation, compiled and submitted to the court for evaluation procedural documents for the registration of case materials, provided evidence and presented corresponding arguments.
Based on the results of the class, the police officers received a thorough and constructive comment from the judge regarding the correctness of the application of the norms of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
Such measures improve the algorithms of actions of law enforcement officers, ensure their personal safety and form a positive image of the police.
