NEWS, Sport for military veterans

Representatives of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) took part in the open tournament “AZOV GAMES RUN,” held in the village of Sursko-Lytovske. The event brought together servicemembers of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, veterans, adaptive athletes and representatives of higher education institutions.

The tournament aims to promote physical fitness, develop athletic endurance, support the veteran community and strengthen cooperation among military personnel, young people and civil society.

DSUIA was represented by Senior Lecturer of the Department of Special Physical Training, Police Lieutenant Colonel Volodymyr Rohalskyi, as well as cadets Oleksandr Kariaka and Kyrylo Chobotenko. The participants completed a demanding obstacle course featuring monkey bars, a rope ladder, a water trench, rope climbing and various balance challenges.

Among the distinguished guests at the tournament’s opening ceremony were DSUIA veterans Oleksandr Hryshchuk, a specialist of the Sports Team of the Social and Humanitarian Work Unit, and Andrii Shevchenko, an instructor at the Department of Special Physical Training.

The participation of DSUIA representatives once again demonstrated the high level of physical preparedness of the University’s cadets, as well as their endurance, teamwork and commitment to achieving common goals. Initiatives such as this contribute to the development of young people’s athletic potential, promote a healthy lifestyle, strengthen patriotic values and expand cooperation among representatives of the security and defense sector, the veteran community and educational institutions.
