NEWS

On the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine, members of volunteer formations, and civilians who were executed, tortured, or died in captivity, representatives of the Special Center for Police Training “Police Academy” of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) took part in commemorative events.

The Police Academy trainees honored the memory of the Ukrainian Heroes who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state by laying flowers at the memorial located on the university campus. Participants observed a minute of silence in tribute to all those who lost their lives defending Ukraine, as well as to those who were executed, tortured, or never returned from Russian captivity.

The flower-laying ceremony became a symbol of gratitude and profound respect for the sacrifice of the Ukrainian Defenders, who gave their lives to uphold the freedom and independence of the country.

For the Police Academy trainees, participation in such commemorative events is an important component of their professional and civic education. It fosters respect for historical memory, strengthens their awareness of the responsibility to serve the Ukrainian people, and reinforces the importance of preserving the truth about the crimes committed by the Russian Federation against the Ukrainian people.
