The qualifying stage of the All-Ukrainian Veterans Games archery competition was held in the city of Khmelnytskyi. The event was organized by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine in accordance with the Unified Calendar Plan of Physical Culture, Health Promotion, and Sports Events of Ukraine for 2026.

The primary goal of the competition is to promote and develop veteran sports, create opportunities for the physical rehabilitation of the Defenders of Ukraine, support their social reintegration, and encourage war veterans to engage in regular physical activity and sports.
The Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) was represented by veterans Serhii Shtym and Yevhen Ratkov. They delivered достой performances in the archery discipline, demonstrating composure, concentration, and strong sportsmanship, while joining a large-scale event that brought together veterans from across Ukraine.

Archery is one of the sports that has a positive impact on both the physical and psychological recovery of veterans. It helps develop concentration, coordination, endurance, and emotional resilience, while also restoring confidence after combat experience and injuries.
Participation in the Veterans Games is an important part of DSUIA’s veteran support policy aimed at assisting the Defenders of Ukraine. The University consistently develops sports, educational, and social initiatives for veterans, creating opportunities for their physical recovery, active lifestyles, and successful reintegration into society.
We wish our veterans continued sporting success, determination, and many more victories—both in competition and in civilian life.
