The meeting focused on the main tasks of the psychological service and the procedure for interacting with its specialists. The event was held in compliance with safety requirements.

Psychologists from the Psychological Support Unit introduced the cadets to the key areas of their work, including psychological assessment and monitoring of psycho-emotional well-being, counselling on adaptation and studies, prevention of stressful and crisis situations, assistance in cases involving traumatic events, as well as the development of self-regulation skills and psychological resilience.

Particular attention was paid to the procedure for seeking psychological assistance, the principles guiding the work of specialists, and addressing common stereotypes that contribute to biased attitudes toward psychological support.

The meeting was moderated by psychologists Vladyslav Bidniak and Alina Horodnychenko, who emphasized that seeking professional assistance in a timely manner is a sign of a responsible attitude toward one’s own mental well-being and an important component of personal and professional development.

During the open dialogue, the cadets discussed issues related to mental health support, prevention of professional deformation and crisis situations, and showed interest in practical self-regulation techniques. The meeting contributed to a better understanding of the role of the psychological service within the Ministry of Internal Affairs system and promoted a culture of seeking professional support in a timely manner.
