DSUIA Youth: Those Shaping the Future Today

NEWS

Youth is a time when a professional path is only beginning to take shape, while the desire to take action, test one’s abilities, and be useful often extends far beyond the classroom.

For cadets and students of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, their university years are filled with such opportunities — volunteering and blood donation, sports and creative activities, community initiatives, and youth leadership.

Here, involvement often begins with a simple desire to help. More than 50 members of the university community took part in a large-scale blood donation campaign held on the eve of World Blood Donor Day. At the same time, cadets continue their volunteer work: supporting military personnel, participating in social initiatives, and contributing to causes whose results are measured not by grades, but by tangible benefits for others.

DSUIA youth strive not only to participate but also to initiate change: student and cadet self-government provides a space for new ideas, teamwork, and responsibility for shared decisions.

This youth also has its own creative and sporting rhythm. The “eSTeD” Creative Movement Studio took first place at the “Student Spring 2026” city festival, with part of the prize money donated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Sport holds a special place in the lives of DSUIA’s young people — a field in which the university’s cadets and students have created a genuine record of victories throughout the year. Dozens of competitions at various levels have brought university representatives championship titles and podium finishes in boxing, hand-to-hand combat, athletics, kettlebell sport, martial arts, and other disciplines. Among the notable achievements are awards at “Dynamo Games 2026,” the open “AZOV GAMES RUN” tournament, and regional and national championships. Behind every medal are months of training, perseverance, and the ability to combine competition preparation with university life. These achievements are therefore not merely places on the podium, but evidence of character, endurance, and the determination to be among the best.

Behind every award, volunteer initiative, performance, or youth project are different people and different stories. What unites them, however, is an environment in which youth means much more than age: it is a willingness to take responsibility, act, support others, find one’s own path, and at the same time transform the space around oneself.

This is what DSUIA youth are like today — diverse in their interests and talents, ambitious in their aspirations, and attentive to what is happening around them. Young people who do not wait for the future, but create it through their actions today.

Happy Youth Day!
