At the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, the defense of the educational practice of 2nd- and 3rd-year cadets took place with the participation of representatives of the National Police of Ukraine.
To assess the knowledge acquired in the practical units of the NPU, the method of the police quest was applied.
By the Department of Criminal Procedure of DSUIA jointly with the First Deputy Head of the Main Directorate – Head of the Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Police Colonel Inna Vlasova, the defense of the results of the educational practice of 3rd-year cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine was conducted.
The attention of the members of the commission for the defense of the educational practice was focused on the competencies formed in the cadets regarding priority investigative (search) actions at the scenes of property and violent crimes of general criminal orientation and regarding work with victims of violent war crimes, documentation of the trace picture of crimes of this category.
At the “Torture Chamber” location of the training ground, the cadets demonstrated skills in recording data on war crimes against the civilian population. Also, at the investigative-forensic training ground, inspections of the scenes of incidents, conducting other investigative (search) actions, and drawing up criminal procedural documents were practiced.
Cadets of the 2nd year of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Bodies of the NPU of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education in the specialty 081 Law carried out the defense of the practice in the conditions of the training ground “Courtroom”. To evaluate higher education seekers, elements of the police quest were applied, during which the cadets solved situational tasks related to judicial activity.
During the practice, the cadets showed a high level of training. In particular, 24 out of 46 seekers received letters of thanks from the supervisors at the place of undergoing the practice in the Amur-Nyzhnodniprovskyi, Industrialnyi, Novokodatskyi, Shevchenkivskyi district courts for the demonstrated diligence, initiative, discipline, high level of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, professionalism and responsibility.
In addition, with the participation of the Deputy Head of the Inquiry Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Police Captain Yuliia Chorna, the defense of the practice of 2nd-year cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units of the NPU was conducted.
During the defense of the practice, the cadets performed practical and situational tasks, demonstrating the ability to apply the norms of criminal and criminal procedural legislation, analyze the proposed situations, determine the algorithm of actions of a police officer and justify the decisions made.
In addition, the defense of the educational practice was conducted for 1st-year cadets of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units.
The commissions for the defense of the results of the practice analyzed and positively assessed the level of the relevant practical skills acquired by the cadets, additionally emphasized certain aspects of the risks associated with the threat of air attacks by the rf. The cadets successfully coped with the educational service tasks, which indicates their responsible attitude to undergoing the practice.
