Temporarily performing the duties of the Rector of DSUIA Ihor Mahdalyna and Vice-Rector of DSUIA Police Colonel Ihor Kovaliov held a meeting with the Head of the Department of Interaction with the National Police of Ukraine of the company TetraTech Mark Winfield.
Ihor Mahdalyna thanked the representatives of the company TetraTech for the support of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs and Ukraine as a whole. He noted that the activity of the company is aimed at the implementation of practical initiatives that contribute to increasing security and improving the living conditions of the population.
Separately, Ihor Mahdalyna emphasized that the knowledge and practical skills that are transferred by the specialists of TetraTech, the scientific and pedagogical workers of DSUIA integrate into the educational process, use during the training of cadets and the advanced training of practical workers of the National Police of Ukraine.
Mark Winfield noted that the company TetraTech is interested in the further development of cooperation with the university and is ready to continue providing training materials, in particular new mock-ups of explosive objects.
During the meeting, the transfer of equipment and training materials for the arrangement of a specialized training classroom and the conduct of a course on humanitarian demining activity for employees of the National Police of Ukraine took place.
Also, representatives of DSUIA and the company TetraTech discussed the directions of further cooperation.
Such cooperation contributes to the development of the practical component of the training of police officers, the improvement of the educational and material base of the university and the dissemination of modern approaches to demining safety in the system of professional training of law enforcement officers.
