NEWS

First-year cadets of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs are assimilating knowledge and skills in pre-medical, tactical and fire training.

Tactical medicine is the basis for preserving life and health. Cadets of the new intake hone the skills of self- and mutual assistance. Under the guidance of the Professor of the Department of Tactical and Special Training, Police Lieutenant Colonel Stanislava Myroniuk, those present practiced the application of tourniquets to the affected limb, as well as the algorithms of actions in case of massive bleeding and the provision of pre-medical aid to the victim.

Also, within the framework of studying the basics of mine safety, the first-year cadets learned in more detail about the classification of explosive objects and the signs that unmask them. In addition, the procedure of actions in case of detection of such objects was discussed.

Within the framework of the class in fire training, first-year cadets practiced the correct grips and tactical stances for firing from a pistol. Attention was focused on the tactical-technical characteristics of the samples that are in service with the National Police of Ukraine, and the safety rules when handling weapons.

Similar measures contribute to the formation in cadets of practical skills necessary for the safe and professional performance of official tasks, the development of readiness to act in emergency situations and the increase of the level of professional training of future police officers.
