Representatives of the regional and city leadership, security structures and the public took part in the event, the university was represented by the temporarily performing the duties of the Rector of DSUIA Ihor Mahdalyna.
The solemnities took place on the Alley of Memory, where the Heroes who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our state are traditionally honored.
Ihor Mahdalyna laid flowers to the monument in honor of the defenders who gave their lives for Ukraine, its will and the opportunity for the people to live in a free and independent state, develop it and build the future.
Also, Ihor Mahdalyna joined the solemn event held near the State Flag of Ukraine on Soborna Square.
The Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration – Head of the Regional Military Administration, Police General of the third rank Oleksandr Hanzha presented state awards to military veterans, volunteers and representatives of the public.
In addition, during the event a special cancellation of the postage stamp “We are waiting” was carried out in honor of Ukrainian prisoners of war and missing persons.
