Sports competitions dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine were held at DSUIA

At the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, a sports event dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine took place. Cadets of the university’s academic groups joined the competitions.

The program of the event combined a sports-military relay, mini-football, a strength competition and tug-of-war. The participants demonstrated physical preparedness, endurance, strength, speed and the coherence of team work.

The sports-military relay included a complex of applied tasks: putting on protective equipment, moving in a trench, throwing a grenade at a target, overcoming obstacles and a running stage. Separate components of the sports program became team competitions in mini-football and tug-of-war, and the participants of the strength competition determined the best in the performance of physical exercises.

 

According to the results of the sports event, the winners and prize-winners in individual disciplines were determined, and the overall team ranking was formed.

 

Sports-military relay:

1st place — academic group SR-K9-26-1

2nd place — academic group DR-D8-26-1

3rd place — academic groups DR-D8-26-3, KA-K9-26-1

 

Mini-football:

1st place — academic group SR-K9-26-1

2nd place — academic group KA-K9-26-1

3rd place — academic group DR-D8-26-2

 

Strength competition:

1st place — Anastasiia SUKHORUCHENKO, academic group DR-D8-26-2

2nd place — Sofiia SHEVCHENKO, academic group SR-K9-26-1

3rd place — Sofiia POPOVA, academic group DR-D8-26-2

 

Tug-of-war:

1st place — academic group KA-K9-26-1

2nd place — academic group SR-K9-26-1

3rd place — academic group DR-D8-26-2

 

Overall team ranking:

1st place — academic group SR-K9-26-1

2nd place — academic group KA-K9-26-1

3rd place — academic group DR-D8-26-2

 

The conduct of the competitions contributed to the development of physical endurance, team interaction and applied skills of the cadets, and sports rivalry united the participants around the principles of mutual support, cohesion and respect.
