To the event joined the person temporarily performing the duties of the rector of DSUIA Ihor Mahdalina, vice-rector, police colonel Ihor Kovalov, cadets, teachers, officers, and also listeners of the CSIPT “Academy of Police”.
At the beginning of the event, the person temporarily performing the duties of the rector of DSUIA Ihor Mahdalina addressed the participants. The athletes honored the memory of the fallen Heroes with a moment of silence.
This year, the length of the distance was five kilometers.
Each participant ran with the name of a fallen Hero on the T-shirt — as a manifestation of personal gratitude to the soldiers who did not return.
The participants of the run believe that such events combine the strength of the body and the strength of the spirit, and most importantly — preserve the memory of the Heroes, contribute to the formation in cadets of a sense of responsibility, patriotism, respectful attitude to the memory of the defenders of Ukraine and awareness of the high price of freedom.
The patriotic marathon takes place annually at the state level. It is held within the framework of commemoration of the Day of Remembrance of the defenders of Ukraine, who died in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
