First-year cadets of DSUIA received cadet shoulder straps.
The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine. After that, all those present honored the memory of the fallen defenders with a minute of silence.
Temporarily performing the duties of the Rector of DSUIA Ihor Mahdalyna addressed the cadets of the new intake. He congratulated the first-year cadets on a new important stage in their lives and wished them to study fruitfully in order to become true professionals of their field in a few years and replenish the ranks of law enforcement officers.
Responsible officers together with representatives of the rectorate presented the first shoulder straps to the cadets.
After the solemn part, the cadets who distinguished themselves in sports during the camp gathering received commemorative certificates.
Receiving cadet shoulder straps is the first stage of a great path to the profession of a police officer. It symbolizes the beginning of responsible service, readiness for training, discipline and the performance of official duty for the benefit of Ukraine.
