An event on the topic of counteraction to domestic violence was conducted for the trainees of group 2/26 of the CSPT “Police Academy” of the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
The invited speaker was the inquiry officer of the Inquiry Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Senior Police Lieutenant Kateryna Hunko.
The topic of the class was “Counteraction and response to cases of domestic violence”. The event was conducted with the aim of forming in future police officers of the Educational Security Service the skills of identifying domestic violence, algorithms of response to such facts and protection of the victims.
During the training, the issues of the regulatory framework, namely the regulatory legal acts of Ukraine in the sphere of prevention and counteraction to domestic violence, were thoroughly worked out with the trainees.
Also, the trainees were explained the procedure for issuing urgent restraining orders regarding the abuser, and modeling of situations and practicing of tactical actions directly during the call of the police response group to the scene of the incident were carried out.
