The measures are organized by the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance Learning of Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs.
Participation in the classes is taken by employees of the National Police of Ukraine, seconded to DSUIA, according to the program of professional development of police officers, seconded to institutions of higher education, which belong to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
By the department of special physical training, a class was conducted, during which the participants practiced the methods of forceful detention of offenders. In particular, the methods of detention “with a lock”, “with a jerk” and “when approaching from behind” were considered.
Under the guidance of the senior lecturer of the department, police major Serhii Petrenko, the participants of the event updated their knowledge regarding the application of blocks and painful techniques.
Such measures give the opportunity for police officers to improve practical skills in the application of forceful techniques, to increase the level of professional preparedness and to maintain readiness for the effective performance of official tasks.
